The Commission’s activities conducted under the Act are recorded in two funds. The Wireless Service Emergency Fund is used for grants to emergency telephone system boards, qualified entities, or the Department of State Police for Wireless 9-1-1 or E9-1-1. The Wireless Carrier Reimbursement Fund is used for the reimbursement of wireless carriers and administrative costs. Effective January 1, 2016, the Emergency Telephone System Act (50 ILCS 750/ 75) transferred all rights, functions, powers, and duties of the Commission as set forth in Wireless Emergency Telephone Safety Act (50 ILCS 751) to the Illinois Department of State Police. There were no material findings of noncompliance disclosed during our examination. ACCOUNTANT'S OPINION We conducted a limited scope compliance examination of the Illinois Commerce Commission’s Wireless Service Emergency Fund and Wireless Carrier Reimbursement Fund for the six months ended December 31, 2015 as required by the Wireless Emergency Telephone Safety Act.
